Outside the coffee shop, the air was filled with chatter, but then again, it was muffled from all the masks people were rightfully wearing. Ted only occasionally removed his to sip his macchiato, and he made sure to snap it back on when anyone got within six feet him. Why? Because he was responsible, god damn it, and a plague was a plague, regardless of political affiliation, opinion, or precious feelings.
